Jeff Evans- School Magic

Elementary School Assemblies with Jeff Evans "So much fun, your students don't even know they're learning." Jeff Evans' career in magic began over twenty years ago when he found a book on coin tricks at his grandparents' house. Today he works extensively throughout Washington state and the Pacific Northwest, presenting and entertaining for kids at schools, libraries, and festivals in a variety of venues. As a full-time entertainer and presenter, Jeff has the skills and flexibility to connect with your group and put on the best show for the situation. You'll be glad to know that Jeff brings the experience of OVER 300 SHOWS PER YEAR when he visits your school. Each of Jeff's educational and motivational-themed assembly programs is developed from the ground up to meet educational objectives in a fun way.

Programs include:

Family Night Magic Show - A just-for-fun magic show that kids and adults rave about.

"Reading Magic" with Jeff Evans Reading Magic encourages children to enjoy reading for a lifetime. Students help return an overdue book and see what makes a library card like a magic wand. Curious George appears to perform the "World Famous Banana Trick." You'll see jaws drop when Jeff shows how reading helps solve the puzzling Rubik's Cube. In Jeff's latest routine, a volunteer is transported to Hogwarts for a hilarious Harry Potter scene (complete with wig, glasses, and lighting bolt scar). You've never seen anyone have such a hard time holding onto a magic wand! It's a lot of fun, but most importantly the benefits of reading are woven throughout the show. Your students will be excited to try out the "magic numbers" of the Dewey Decimal system at your library. "I've taught at this level for 23 years and sat through many assemblies. Jeff Evans, by far, gets a "10" for his performance and engagement with the children."-Carolyn Candy, Chautauqua Elementary teacher

"Mission: Possible" with Jeff Evans Mission: Possible builds kids up from the inside out, showing them the power of a positive attitude. Jeff shares inspirational stories about legends from Abraham Lincoln and Helen Keller to Lance Armstrong. Bullying is approached in a way that makes this potentially intimidating subject fun. Simple stories show kids that they are in charge of their emotions... and responses. Your students will return to their classrooms with techniques to avoid and prevent bullying that they can use immediately. This assembly teaching the lifetime skills of a positive attitude and respect for others may be the most important assembly you'll host all year. "Your additions of "anti-bully" messages were perfect since we have been discussing those ideas with our students. Numerous students told me it was a fun assembly!!"-Deniece Hussey, Roosevelt Elementary

"Science Magic" with Jeff Evans Science Magic is an interactive mix of science and magic. Students are exposed to the characteristics of solids, liquids, and gases. The properties of air pressure, static electricity, center of mass, and density are visually demonstrated. The kids howl with laughter when a borrowed dollar bill shrinks to miniature size as Jeff discusses expansion and contraction. It's the staff's turn to react when a teacher's ring is ground to pieces in a demonstration of a simple electronic circuit gone wrong. Of course, everything is put back to normal and the helpers return to their seats as heroes. Some experiments can be duplicated at home or in the classroom. This assembly is an ideal lead-in to your Science Fair, or just as a way to show students the fun of learning. "The word from the children was "his was the best assembly EVER!" The parents, teachers and staff all agree with the children, you were extremely entertaining."-Wendy Logan, Browns Point Elementary
